Stressing The Glaring Error In The BMI Method
One of the misconceptions that most people have is that women in general are so vane in their bodies, which make it impossible for them to miss out on their diet. While this belief is common to everyone, there is one study that could alter and challenge this impression that suggests U.S women could be more obese than believed. Yes, women could be suffering more from obesity contrary to what most people think about them. The only thing that makes this fact unknown to many is because only a few articles are written about this subject.
According to the study, women are not classified as obese when their weight is based on their BMIs. However, if one will be measured in the new method of getting the weight, the result that she will see is very much different from the one generated by the BMI method.
While we have been told that one way to get our accurate weight is through the BMI, or the Body Mass Index, this has been opposed by the study that Dr. Eric Braverman has conducted, which shows that in order to obtain the accurate body mass we should also include the body fats percentage together with the weight and height ratio, which is known as the BMI of one person.
Based on the study, the BMI method is not producing the precise weight measurement, since it is not including the body fats percentage, which is also crucial in determining the real weight of one person. So, if women will only look at their body fats based on their Body Mass Index, then they should not take it as their real weights.
Despite the untarnished image that most women have on how they take care of their bodies, it does not mean that they are perfect, since after all, women are just like others who also commit mistakes.
